Reimagined the commercial in-flight experience

Transpose graphic

Transpose explored the potential for airlines to improve business performance and passenger experience via modular cabin concepts and associated technologies.

Transpose was a clean-sheet rethinking of cabin design and architecture for large commercial aircraft. It focused on giving airlines the ability to expand and enhance the breadth of experiences they could offer their passengers by modularizing the aircraft interior. It also offered time and cost advantages associated with the manufacturing and refresh of cabins, as well as potential new revenue streams for Airbus and airline operators.

The project was initiated to potentially evolve into new variants of aircraft for Airbus, providing an additional line of business that complemented Airbus’ existing aircraft portfolio and diversifying the options for airline/lessor customers.
